Well, that was a massive two months for the band! It began in the USA with an action packed 13 shows in 15 days starting in sunny L.A and ending in the celtic punk mecca, Boston. We had an incredible time, made new life-long friends and laid the foundations for what we know will be an enduring relationship between The Go Set and the USA. We’ll share some of our favourite moments of the tour with you soon. Watch this space.
Not content with with having almost no sleep for the better part of three weeks and drinking enough beer to kill several elephants, our return to Australia marked the immediate release of our seventh studio album “Rolling Sound”. A new album demands a new tour and we are not the band to disappoint so we headed off on tour once again covering Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia in a matter of weeks. Big thanks to all the bands we played with especially our brothers in Crooked Face and Topnovil who shared the stage for all of QLD and NSW.
We are very proud of the new recording and love the sound that was achieved from stripping everything back and tracking everything as live as possible. Combined with our self-produced documentary “These are the Days” the album has been warmly received by everyone so far.
That’s all for now, make sure you keep coming back for more tales from the road.
